Date of birth15 March 1994
Chris joined Edinburgh Rugby in the summer of 2014. A hard running, skilful and knowledgeable centre, he had made his 50th appearance for the club against Ospreys by November 2017.
Prior to joining Edinburgh, Chris enjoyed a successful spell with Scotland 7’s after securing an Elite Development contract in May 2012. At just 19 years of age, he was the first Scot to score a try at the 2013 Rugby World Cup 7s in Moscow, in his country's opening match versus Japan. He scored three tries in total in that tournament. Chris also captained Edinburgh to their first ‘Ladies’ Cup’ triumph at Melrose 7s in 2016.
Chris was one of seven uncapped players named in the Scotland squad for the 2019 Six Nations. He remains at the heart of all that is good about Edinburgh Rugby, both on and off the pitch, as they kick on in pursuit of the Pro14 title post RWC 2019.
Chris is constantly looking to improve himself outside rugby, whether it be understanding where he can better connect with business or studying for a University degree. Chris and his partner Naomi recently added to ‘the team’ with the birth of their daughter Arabella.
